Shipments are only re-classed when they come to the facility classed incorrectly. Every trucking company is held to the standards of National Motor Freight Classification rules. It depends upon description of freight, size(dimensions) & weight. If it takes up a lot of trailer space, it charged by cubic capacity rules. The NMFC rules are available to you. Your sales person can probably explain better. If not, ask for head of weight & inspections.
