Worst customer service I've ever received in my life. The compressor on my refrigerator broke but is under a 10 year warranty and still has several years left. Upon having a technician come out, which I had to pay $150 for (even tho warranty covered the compressor and repair per the warranty), he advised me that Kenmore now uses new compressors and other parts would have to be replaced in order for the new compressor to be compatible and I would be charged $300. This did not make sense to me as the compressor is under warranty 100% and any other parts needed to fix the compressor should also not cost money for me Per the warranty which says the compressor will be repaired free of charge. It is not the customers fault that Kenmore started using new compressors and new parts are needed. The warranty should be honored especially since the fridge is only a few years old. Upon contacting a supervisor and customer service I have never been encountered by a more rude and unprofessional individual. She continuously cut me off and shouted at me and not once did she even understand what I was trying to say. After realizing I was getting nowhere with her I asked to speak with somebody else and she told me no I would have to call back even though I waited on hold for 45 minutes just to speak with anyone. I never write reviews as I understand everyone is human and make mistakes but I have never been more displeased with a company in my life. I then came to this website and attempted to contact the corporate office but nobody answers the phone. At this point I am lost on what to do. I will never purchase another sears or Kenmore product again in my life. And I think it's a disgrace that that woman is allowed to work in customer service with the way she treats people.Anonymous

it sounds like you have an LG model fridge. my kenmore elite was made by LG.
there is a known issue with the LG compressors going bad.
there is a class action law suite again LG for it..
