The store manager Lucy in the loaction at 119-14 Sutphin Blvd Jamaica NY 11434 is RUDE, RACIST and DISRESPECTFUL. She told a cashier to pray to Allah and tell him to make it cool when all the cashier asked was for her to turn on the aircondioner in mid July. She also told another cashier after cutting her hours she should go on welfare and ask for assistance. A manager, saying all these remarks?? She is very disrespectful to her employees( thats why employees are always leaving). She doesnt like hiring african americans(racist) even when they have exceptional resumes and are willing to comply with the shifts and hours. Shes never likes dealing with customers and when she doeas she so RUDE. Shes giving customers her back when they try to approach her. I know head on all of this is true because i worked there. She fired me without any kind of wriiten warning. Im not writing because of that, it because of how she deals with everyone. I went in to exchange a half gallon of milk and she refuse. I do admit I didnt have the receipt but I had 2 witnesss (cashiers) who told her I did purchase it the day before. Overall she doesnt have the knowledge and customer service experience to be a manager.
I shop at the worst store here in East Dublin, Ga only when forced to. I will drive 50 miles just not to go to this store.....the customer service has got to be some of the worst I honestly have ever seen. It's sad when you walk in and no one has a smile or even speak and remind you that they aren't giving you anything. I have gone in there and had to wait for them to finish their conversation with each other. I mentioned to one of the employees on the nightshift on how they were more friendlier than day shift and that they need to reverse the shifts for a while. I believe his name is Jerome those guys are always pleasant and cleaning something more than whT day shift is seen doing. I will say this..... Christy leaving was the or one of the worst things that could've happened. Between Christy and oh the guys in the meat dept are pleasant as well. I wish there was another grocery store here in East Dublin that would definitely stir this store up. No competition gives them the I don't give a hoot attitude. If the manager's attitude was more pleasant then it would rub off and she can demand change.i dont see how Shannon got the job Christy had because she doesn't have any I mean NOT ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AND SHE WALK AROUND LIKE SHE IS ALWAYS SUCKING A DAMN LEMON. I don't know what positions most hold in this store but, Jerome you are management material and they overlook the gems in this store. Don't take what I'm saying but, you can just show up and do a review as customers enter the parking lot and I'm sure 50%-70%only shop here because they don't want to drive an extra 10 min to Krogers or don't have transportation and mom is one of them. I left one out becaue this is me only stop if they forgot something/not feeling well and look like a lemon because you have to run in here. I use to shop here faithfully, but attitudes changed and no one is pleasant.I hate when good people leave and I understand that people leave and move for better and they should, but make sure that when you hire folk that they want to work and not just get a job to say they have one or because you're a family friend that ask for a job and get it.....sad, but true. Hire some good help Debbie Henderson, because 90% of you 6a.m-5p.m needs some SERIOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS/ TRAINING. When you have store this size in a neighborhood this size they should know their customers and customers will know them of they are pleasant. I can honestly say I know them by names becaue I want to remember them whether good or bad experience and more so want to be on a good note. Some were so nice and pleasant when they started and after they got seasoned they changed. ERIC, I believe is his name in produce isn't as nice and pleasant as he was when he started. I know some customers are hell on wheels and no customers aren't always right and vice versa......when you're in thos business you aim to please and to make sure customers found everything ok....even some not all ask that at Krogers and I promise you I shop Krogers at least 2-3 times a week and Publix as often as possible and Sams every month sometimes twice a month and would love to start back shopping at home here in East Dublin......MAKE SOME CHANGES IMPROVE FRESH FOODS AND CARRY MORE NATURAL WITHOUT OVER PRICING AND THATS WHAT'S GOING ON WITH WHAT YOU OFFER NOW.....I gave a rating of 1 star and would've given a half of star didn't offer. Gotta do BETTER....going to be looking to see what changes take place. I know it takes time, but some you see

Aside from the occasional attempt at customer service from a few friendly clerks, none of the employees or managers here seem to care. Disorganized checkout section; there's always confusion between associates and delays at the register.
It's sad really. I like the ambiance and convenience of a local, small store like this. But the Food World in Troy, AL just seems to fall short, continually.
Vidalia store needs to upgrade the bathrooms and keep them clean
Food world in Vidalia ga has poor customer services they need to work on there people skills.
I worked there for a year in statesboro and management won't seem to let their employees make their own decisions.....even when we have the experience and we know what sells.....Also they won't leave well enough alone when it comes to rearranging the store....and the store managers will throw u under the bus when the big wigs come in and something's wrong.....even if u have already addressed the issue to management.......well must be nice to walk around with a cup of coffee all day in a suit and act like ur S%@t don't stink.........oh and forget about raises
These supermarkets operate in low income areas and are mediocre at best. Today, I witnessed one of their delivery trucks stop traffic on Jamaica Avenue in the middle of the rush hour, with a cone in the street, as he walked his pallets across the intersection for more than half hour. Commuters on the bus stood amongst non-moving traffic from the LIRR terminal through the corner of 149th and Jamaica where the Food World is located. Any business who conducts themselves that way, or allows their vendors to do the same, is a store where no one should frequent at all. We control our pocket books, we demand service, quality and courtesy in the store and outside of the store, and can tell Food World that we can stop shopping there. I will contact Mr. Cohagan as well, as to the ridiculousness of his operations.

Please don't shop in the store in Statesboro Georgia on Northside Drive. The store is dirty and the manager Frank is very rude and doesn't care if you shop there or not. He is very dis respectable to customers and stockers that come into the store to stock shelves. I will not shop at that store nor is it clean or safe.

I shop at Food World in Troy, AL almost everyday. I really don't have any complaints on the store or the staff, but the men in the meat department! If I'm not mistaking the older mans name is Stanley and the other I think is Ken, Kenny or either its Kenneth. I'm not certain on their names but I'm sure not that many people work in that department! Both of them always seem to have a attitude with my son shopping with me. My son is gay, and I have asked a couple of other employee's that are stockers what their problem is and both of them told my son and I that they both have a really big issue with gay people! I don't agree with the same sex thing but I love my son and will not put him or anyone down for their sexuality! If they continue to keep their rude attitudes up toward my son I will take it to court for discrimination! All of the other employee's are always very helpful and very welcoming when we shop there so why is it them two who can't seem to treat us all equally as customers? Apparently me and my son are not the only ones who get treated this way because of someone's sexuality, something has seriously got to be done about them! I'm not saying they have to like or agree with their life style but there is no since in treating anybody that way! I will not tolerate their ignorance no longer! I've bit my tongue for awhile now, next time I'm going to get rude and wouldn't care if I got band from the store! I refuse to shop somewhere that my son literally gets offended by Twp pricks every time we go by the meats! Do something about it or I'm filing a lawsuit on the store!!!!!

I'd say if you feel you have a lawsuit please go for it. I came here to read about a company's reputation not personal complaints with individuals. I went to the store on united lane in Athens Ohio today for the last time. There is a new cashier, a man that is very rude. He tried to charge me $37 for pop that was $10 & ice cream that was $4.99. He hadn't added up all my groceries. When I tried to tell him it was a mistake he became very nasty & was worse when I ask the manager, or I believe she is the manager, if she would ring me up. She didn't seem to care how rude he was. As my husband & I was loading the groceries in the car, I saw them both look out the door & laugh. It does no good to report them to the manager Lee Jones because he doesn't care. There have been other complaints & he just shrugs them off. I will drive further & give my money to any other corporation unless this rude man is fired
Most of the Time when I visit your Troy store, the "Service counter" is closed! Therefore Western Union Services are Unavailable, and on occasion the Manager/Clerk seems to have an Attitude about Western Union sales! I mainly purchase Money Orders, what does this take, a Minute, Maybe? Why have a "Service counter" if Services are a Problem?? If the Store is Open, The "Service Counter" should be Open!!

You recently bought 2 stores in Statesboro, GA. and 1 in Vidalia, GA. I live within a mile of the store
located on Northside Drive in Statesboro. I frequented it several times each week as a Harvey's and
had a 95+ experience with them. I know it was a very high sales producing unit as it was extremely
busy, not just the Wednesday Specials day. With 3-5 registers open, you became adjusted to a short
wait to get checked out. I have visited the store since the changeover several times..and to put it
mildly crude you could set off a grenade in an aisle and probably not hit anyone. I would suggest
you rethink your changes and gradually revert to the Harvey's mode before you find yourself in the
same position as a Publix the lasted less than a year before folding their tent up and moving on.
Just saying....and it is not just my observation.
