Sent a complaint in regards to a bad experience and didn't even receive so much as a confirmation or robo-reply. My only recourse is to spend my money else where. So far its been saving me a lot of money. For example a Left/Right Slant Fin baseboard cover was approx. $13.98 at Home Depot $8.58 at local plumbing supply store. Add in Amazon, DirectTools and its amazing how much cheaper items are if you just do a little more planning. Home Depot is the Deli compared Supermarket prices, convenient but expensive. They do not care about their customers and don't even reply to your complaints.
I have never experienced such poor customer service! Tom, one of the three floor managers has made me feel as if I were "trying to come up on the store" after denying a return that was delievered in the rain by the department when they were told NOT to! Ive been told by Eddie Gillis(who i dont even know is a real name) that they are going to wheel their returned material that they have not refunded me outside BUT two weeks ago they refunded me for the siding from the same job. IM VERY DISAPPOINTED AS A HONEST CUSTOMER!!!!
Very ticked off bought a LG window air conditioning unit at Home Depot in St Petersburg Florida on 22nd Street they sold me an extended warranty for three years after the five year warranty now the now Home Depot warranty company said they won't warranty air conditioning unit keep giving me excuses but they took my money for the warranty and now I have to go to the Better Business Bureau
I wanted to write this email to praise the manager Davika of store #6339. She has gone way beyond what I expected from a manager. Here is my story. I placed an order in the store for a combo of GE appliances on to be delivered on December 4, 2018 between 1pm and 5pm. I sold my range and refrigerator on the 3 because I thought the appliances were going to be delivered. I received a call XPO the the 3rd confirming the delivery. On December 4 at 2:30pm, GE called me that the appliances will not be delivered because one of the items was on back order. I was extremely mad.
I went to the store right after the call on the 4th and spoke to the Manager Davika. She was warm and patient and understood why I was really upset. She made alot of calls to find out why this happened and we were not notified before. She spent an hour or more trying to find out what happened. She was informed that the items were at the center. Then they told her that the items were not there. After all this time, we decided to reschedule the delivery. She told me to go home that the company was going to call me to reschedule. I rescheduled for the appliances to be delivered on December 11.She told me to call her on the 7th so she can check again. On December 10th I called and I was informed that the delivery was going to be made. Davika asked me to call her and let her know what happened in the call. I explained and she checked in the computer and said yes, you are scheduled for delivery on the 11th. She asked me to call her on the 10th so she can look it up and make sure it was still going to be delivered and yes it was still scheduled between 1:30 & 5:30pm.
The 11th came and at 2pm GE called me that my appliances were not going to be delivered. I screamed and raised hell to the GE person. I went to the store to speak with Davika to let her her know what happened again. I was FURIOUS! Specially that I did did not have a refrigerator or range and my mother in law was on a special diet. When I got tot the store Davika was not going to be in so I spoke to a male manager, I think his name begins with a D, and let me tell you, he was horrible and left an employee to make the calls and he said that he was going to come back and when I found out he left for the day. I hope I never get him again. Well back to Davika. They called her and explained the situation and told them that she was coming to the store to try to resolve my problem. I left and went home. She got to the store and called me and I explained the situation again from the call to the horrible manager I spoke to at the store. She resolved my issue with the range and brought me a loaner that night.
What an amazing supervisor/manager you have. Davika showed us that customers do count and are very important and that it was not right what GE did to us. I wish that she would teach all the other supervisors/managers and employees how to handle issues like mine and how to step up and try to resolve the issues. WHAT AN AMAZING PERSON you have at the store.
This is my story and wanted Home Depot Corporate to know it.
I have been trying to get a wood floor ordered thru Home Depotsince the first part of November, I have had to reorder this three times and still have not gotten the right stuff yet, I call this morning and talked to several people and really got no where.
I will never use Home Depot to order anything ever again and will tell all of my friends about the experience that we have had.
AS A VET i TO WAS TOLD THAT VETS WOULD GET 10% ON VET DAY, IN SUN CITY FLORIDA THEY NO LONGER HAVE PEOPLE TO CHECK YOU OUT YOU MUST CHECK OUT WITH SELF CHECKOUT. LET'S TRY TO START TO RUN THEM OUT OF BUSINESS, STOP GOING TO home DEPOT MAYBE IF THEY START CLOSING STORES THEY WILL WAKE UP. .jUST LOOK WHAT THEY ARE DOING, TOGETHER WE CAN FIX their WAGON, THINK BEFORE YOU GO MANY OTHER CHOICES.
I am also a veteran,I found out home depot will not except a DD-214 as proof of military service. As you know that's what all veterans are given when discharged. Thousands of veterans can't get a discount after being told they can. I agree with you,we need to STOP SHOPPING at HOME DEPOT. Lowes will HONOR your DD-214 and give you a discount.
Home Depot does not except a DD-214, military discharge papers as proof of military service when the rest of the United States does. If you want a discount shop at lowe's. take your DD-214 and drivers licence and get your discount. Home depot is the first place that I found that does not except it, and that's what all Veteran's get when they leave service. But you did thank me for my service. I guess you can be patriotic when there is NO COST attached.
Your automated service sucks when I want to talk to somebody I want to talk to a live person not a goddamn computer keep pushing me around and not give me the person I want I have a complaint about your department if you can't get back to me I'll tell my customers like I'm I start telling them now go to Lowe's where you'll get better service where you can get stuff done because the assholes at Home Depot don't want to help you thank you very much have a nice day I hope
I am a general contractor out of San Luis Obispo Ca. My team spends around 250,000.00 a year at home depot. My family and I decided to remodel our own house for a change. After living in a small trailer in the driveway for 11 weeks, we are on the home stretch. I ordered my flooring from inside the San Luis Obispo store 12/3 and received an estimated delivery of 12/10-12/14 which was perfect for my install of 12/15 and was going to allow me to keep my promise to my family that we would be back in the house before Christmas. The pro desk was closed an hour early so one of the associates helped me place the order from the service desk. Order was placed and I received a confirmation number. Today I called in to track my delivery, I was met with a woman who told me that my order wasn't processed. She said they sent me an email (which I found in my junk email after she told me). I was upset that they had not tried better to ensure I had got the message (an automated phone call would have sufficed). I was transferred to a guy name Kevin (who is apparently the a supervisor). When I asked why they do not make greater attempts to contact customers, he told me "well we have billions of customers". I took that as "well because we have so many customers no single customer is important". If they can automated call you to confirm an order delivery, they should be able to call and confirm an order hasn't processed. Meanwhile its looking like the promise I made to my family to be in the house before Christmas isn't going to happen thanks to the lack of care of The Home Depot online ordering department. I'm just one of the billions of customers they have.
A few weeks ago I went into our local Chandler Az Home Depot and purchased a bunch of Christmas lights for my yard. I spent over $150.00 cash. This weekend we put up the outdoor lights and realized that we purchased too many lights. So I looked for my receipt and didn't have it. But we have taken things back in the past without a receipt so I was not very concerned because they would put the credited money on a Home Depot card. Its ok with us because we spend a lot of time and money there. So I brought back four unopened boxes of 150 lights - Ribbon Net Lights. We paid $11.48 per box just about two weeks ago. When my husband brought them back to customer service they gave us a gift card with $31.92 on it. When I looked at the receipt I realized they gave us about $7.98 credit per box of lights. So I went back into the store and asked the customer service person why they did that. I went to the christmas lighting department and took a picture of the item with the price of $11.48 for those lights yet they told me that because I was returning the lights without a receipt they would only give me $7.98 per item. I could not believe that Home Depot company would stoop to that low level to seal money out of my pocket. I paid $11.48 per box... they were still selling them for $11.48 per box and yet they only gave me $7.98 credit per box. their company policy is to steal from their customers. Awful!
dont order on line from Home Depot
the trucking company says it delivered and even though I have received nothing , HD billed my credit card and tells me to take it up wityh my credit card co.
everyone is getting paid for delivering nothing
Im stuck with the bill
6 weeks later and Codel doors has not fulfilled my door order and refuses to release the door they do have in stock to me even as I have paid in full on November 2, 2108. It is now December 9 2018 and the Vallejo Ca. store has been unable to get my doors to me. I have been lied to out right and told half truths. This is my final dealing with Home depot. Monte Johansen..
The home depot investors might want to know how bad their customer service is.

Tried to order something through the Home Depot store in Sioux Falls South Dakota. After talking to 5 people I finally accomplished the order through the 800 number. Took me a full hour to order something online. Still have not received my credit back on my account. Will be seeking a lawyer

I'm a realtor and I frequent.Home Depot alot, I needed to get a Refrigerator so my husband and I walked until we located found four seated at a table. I said can I get some help, I was totally ignored, we waited for about 10 minutes more so I said am I wrong for asking you for help.I was ignored again so my husband commented we should go to Loews one sales associate told him maybe you should go to Loews. We did make a complaint at customer service but the manager didn't know how to register the sale.My husband and I agree that this was one of the worst experience we've ever had, we did purchase the Refrigerator.
My name is Marie; I have purchased a snow blower Cub Cadet 2 stages at the Home Depot in Fairfield , CT on September 11, 2018. I paid extra for assembly and for delivery to my house. It basically took a month to deliver it at my house in October 2018. Since it started to get cold, last Wednesday, November 21, 2018; I decided to put gas on it and start it to see if it's working fine because it already came with oil. I plugged the electric cord to the machine, follow all the instruction to start it. The snow blower did not start. It cranks, but did not start. I tried it the second on Thanksgiving, same thing happened. On Friday, November 23, 2018 I went to the home depot in Fairfield where I made the purchase to let them know about it. A young lady was kind enough to take me order, they wanted to charge me to come to pick it up from my house to look what was wrong with it. She wave the pick up fee. She finally set up the pick up for Monday, November 26, 2018. Someone called me that day to let me know he was on his way to my house. Two men came to get the snow blower around 9:00 AM. I told one the guy, it has gas on it and I attached the key with a tape on the machine.
On Tuesday, November 27, I never heard from anyone; around 2:pm at work I called Home Depot in Fairfield, a lady told me nothing has been delivered under my name or my phone number, she transferred me to service desk again. I spoke with a male customer representative, he took my name and phone number and promised to call me in half an hour. Until I left work, I never got that call back.
I decided, to take a trip the store, and there I saw the same lady helping me placing the snow blower pick up, I explained the situation, she was unable to locate the snow blower, finally I gave her the driver phone number that I save on my phone, and he told her that Cindy has received delivery of the machine. When calling Cindy, she said the snow blower was repairs and they will bring it to my house tomorrow. Now, I ask the girl, can you ask what was wrong? She called the guy who did the repair, and he told her something on the phone but the last that he said:" I repaired it and I sold it to another customer". I was speechless and upset at the same time.
I purchased the snow blower, paid for 3 years warranty, paid for assembly and for delivery that's how I am being treated. How fair could that be. So far, I heard they will give me a new one and have it deliver to my house. What's wrong with customer services, what's wrong with professionalism. I usually go to the Fairfield home depot for my purchases, because I thought they were different, How could someone take a customer good and sold it to someone else. What's wrong with people. I am very disappointed, Really.
As a frequent Home Depot customer, I am very dismayed that stores are no longer offering a Veteran's Discount except on specific holidays. My husband and I went to our local Home Depot yesterday and were told that only active duty military were eligible. We have made many purchases, large and small, over the years at our local store, and have always been cheerfully given the discount. I could tell that my husband was visibly upset by the new policy. I hope that you realize that Lowe's has made getting a Veteran's discount very easy. From what we are hearing in the Veteran's community, this policy could seriously affect the shopping habits of many of our vets. I know that even though our local Home Depot is convenient to our home, we will be making the trip to Lowe's for our purchases from here on unless this policy is reversed and expanded to once again include all of our military, past and present.

Home depot does not give give me a discount for being a veteran you must be service connected to receive to me that's like spitting on me and all others that served honorably just because I made it without being injured is no reason to think less of me and others that served fix your discount policy we all served our country and do not deserve being separated from each other a veteran is a veteran there is no separation
Project 630 134 consisted of installation of bath/shower that was to be completed 05/31/2018 @ cost of over $10K. It has taken numerous visits and different type corrections. On last visit 11/13/2018 (6 months since completion date) i was left with clogged drain. I pulled out as much of adhesive caulking that was swept into 2' drain. It now drains but slowly. I need a plumber.
I made an on-line purchase that was going to be picked up at my local store #0922. The item needed to be assembled at the store, which was fine, since it was a service that was provided free of charge. I made my purchase about 9/26/18, and was contacted by the store to pick-up the merchandise, when I explained that it needed to be assembled I was told that once that was done, I would be contacted again by the store to pick-up the product. I rec'd 3-6 emails and 3 phone calls letting me know that I can pick up my product and I confirmed I would do this on 11/19/18. I went to my local store, waited over 45 minutes, only to be told that somehow my snow blower wasn't there and it was stolen, missing or sold again. While I was waiting, two of the stores assistant managers saw that I was waiting at customer service and asked if they could help, at which point I thought, wow pretty good customer service! Unfortunately I was wrong, once they realized the problem they both vanished and let a customer service attendant try and deal with this situation. It is now 330pm on 11/19/18 and I have yet to be contacted back by anyone at HD updating me on this situation. Not was was I a customer, but I'm also a stockholder and can't believe that this is how things are handled at store level. I have been in the retail game for almost 30 years and would never have my staff handle a situation this way.
