I am done with Peapod and beyond disappointed with your service. I am a person with an underlying condition who actually NEEDS at home delivery. I have been a customer for years. You have had a problem with every order since Covid. The worst wS last week ROTTEN STRAWBERRIES BANANAS AND CHOP MEAT THAT WAS EXPIRED. There is absolutely no excuse for a Peapod employee to place ROTTEN food in a customers bag. Despicable . For 24=years I've been a Stop & Shop customer..I figure that's close to $170,000 ...and this is how you treat that allegiance
As I write, my 94 year old Dad called to say that Giant/ Peapod left a huge grocery order on his porch that is not his! I have been calling stores, corporate offices etc for over an hour and have gotten nothing but recordings. Sadly the 10 bags of food will end up rotting because no one will answer me. Sorry. Did my best.
Same thing happened here.Dont waste your time calling. As soon as the mistake is made they cannot legally take the food back because of contamination. I wasted two hours of my life trying to return the food left on my porch..

After reading all the previous reviews I have to say I have not had any issues with my past three very large peapod deliveries!...I shop for myself & my 93 year old mom who lives independently. I am located in No. Kingstown RI and I could not be more pleased with Peapod and all the drivers have been courteous, on time & very careful with the unloading of my items. I have always received most of the items I've ordered. Produce has been carefully selected, undamaged & wonderful! Dates of perishable items have been very good. & again, carefully selected!
I am extremely happy with the service & the texts I receive to say they are enroute. The website is user friendly & a joy to use.
During these difficult & stressful times the work that these frontline workers do is so much appreciated and I am grateful for everyone's service.
On occasion an item may not be available or there is a substitution but I say to those unhappy customers,.....
Put yourself in their shoes. They do the best they can & we have to make do with what we receive!
Thankyou to all the peapod workers & to corporate for providing a necessary service to those of us who are older & compromised!
We don't know what we would do without you!!!

I am unable to contact customer service at Peapod... all I get is a recorded message asking me to try again. I have been trying (at all times of the day and night) for a month-and-a-half, and still there is no response.
Please tell me how to cancel my PodPass and Peapod account as of 3/12/20 when Peapod service was no long available to me and/or to my area.
In the past Peapod delivered reasonably good service - but now, in all honesty, I would rate the current Peapod customer service as: Terrible.
P.S. My last delivery on March 11th was missing many items and the eggs that were delivered were mostly broken.
I would like a refund for this too.
I find it hard to understand why PeaPod is telling me that my PodPass will be automatically renewed. I haven't been able to get a delivery slot since mid-March. I've paid for a PodPass and not been able to use it for the last five weeks because you all have not been able to add more delivery times and/or employees so that even it my delivery has to be made in advance, it's still impossible. No delivery slots. None. Period. For more than a month. And not it's impossible to talk to customer care on the phone. I'll see if the email I sent gets to anyone. I am really quite furious that you are so not customer-friendly. You lock us out and still want to charge us for PodPasses.
I am having the very same issue and I've not been able to contact anyone to cancel my services. I purchase a PodPass in advance expecting WEEKLY grocery delivery. If Peapod is overwhelmed because of Covid, then maybe they should have thought about locking out new accounts instead of neglecting their existing customers. I'm cancelling ASAP and switching to another service.
What a joke, stuff is opened and have gone bad and I didn't get half of what I ordered and they charged me for things I didn't get.. this is a horrible service I will never order here again.
Cannot contact customer service. Missing over $60 worth of food. Got somebody else's bags. Have been calling customer service for hours and can't even get put on hold. I understand tough times but email is not an option and I'm not going to just forget about the shortage. It's a lot of $ and somebody else is missing their stuff.
Hi, just a possible suggestion would be Whole Foods from Amazon or Instacart online..Apparently Peapod is unable to deal with the loads they've taken on. Target is having same problem...Keep receipts and good luck...I'm having same problem..
No time slots available for Instacart as well as Amazon Pantry and Prime. Does someone know something that I don't know? Amazon sellers...usually difficult to find item from same seller (priced within reason) as it is becomes unavailable after once or twice bought. I search Amazon every day. Very, very, very, rarely find acceptable paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, disinfectants, etc. I found and ordered a different brand of toilet paper I'm not familiar with, a brand name, 3 weeks ago. I am still waiting for it. Just received text from Amazon seller is no longer on site. If it does not arrive within a few days after expected delivery date contact Amazon for refund.
The moment reservation selections are listed for the next "available" day, THEY ARE ALL ALREADY TAKEN! HOW CAN THIS BE?? Are the times released for some people before others? How can they be reserved before they even become available for selection? I just don't understand!!
And, are you taking any calls, ever? Whenever I call, I'm told the call volume is too high and am "encouraged to call again later." Then call is promptly disconnected.
You had excellent service for us the past 2 years. I don't understand what's happening now.
I'm getting the same thing in NY. The time slots are filled the same exact time they post the new delivery date. Obviously those slots are filled before they even make it to the general public. This Peapod is a scam now and it angers me because I used them for so long, even before this whole covid thing. Calling them is a joke and a waste of time.
I'm so disgusted with Peapod. The time slots show as filled the same time they post the new delivery date. That impossible.. unless whomever runs the website is giving the timeslots to their family and friends before they even post it to the general public. Peapod is now a scam and they've lost a customer. I used them long before covid hit, but no more. I'll shop somewhere else. I hate being scammed.

I have been trying to call Peapod for days now and the call is disconnected immediately. I was overcharged on my grocery bill for items that I returned because I was unhappy with the substitutes. How can I get Peapod to reimburse me?!

A friend once said, "You can't complain about the service here, because there isn't any!" Sounds like peapod. Tried about 20 times today to reach customer service by phone without success. Hard times, sure, with the pandemic, but with so many people losing jobs, peapod could hire some of them to do phone sales and service. Not even the pandemic excuses such poor customer care.
I am a public accountant and I have been trying to get on simple question now for two months and Peapod is playing games and they keep giving the run around and will not answer one simple question. What are they hiding? They say they will call me back, but they never do. They just keep giving me BS answers.

What is going on??? I've been a Peapod customer for years and now I cannot get a day at all! The reservations only allow up to May 2 and every single delivery slot is booked??? This is crazy, people are looking for work so here's your opportunity to expand your services. I cannot believe that you guys are as lacking as the rest of us. Well, I guess your supply chain must be faltering; otherwise, I don't understand why I can't get a date for delivery! Time to expand the calendar out past May 2. Let's go!!!
I have been a customer since the service began. I was always happy with the service...until today. After waiting 3 weeks for a delivery date, my contactless delivery forgot to leave me over $110 worth of groceries. All of my meat products were missing. I attempted to contact customer service and they conveniently were not accepting calls due to covid and being overwhelmed. I understand the dilemma WE all are facing as I work in the medical field, however, after the service and lack there of I received today I will no longer use Peapod or recommend their service!!!! What is the reasoning for not fulfilling an order correctly?
