I drove for Schneider for 4 years without ANY preventable traffic accidents----- but they fired me for "being too dangerous!" Their trucks have on,-board sensors that detect "Hard Braking" defined as slowing more than 8 mph per second. Their immediate assumption is Inattentive Driving or other poor driving. I had to stand on the brakes to avoid killing MANY 4-wheel MORONS that cut me off to turn directly in front of truck. They claimed that since I had too many Hard Braking Incidents, that I was a Safety Risk and had to be terminated IMMEDIATELY. Yes, with ZERO traffic accidents! A clean record for FOUR YEARS was irrelevant to these assholes! They will trump up any excuse they need to dump a loyal employee. They are a Crocodile Corporation!!
I see it daily.
I'm in training in Houston and who ever is setting up computer access has caused me to miss two tests. This is bad
I am trying to get in contact with the CEO. My Husband was treated very poorly during his month long process of becoming a Schneider intermodal driver.in Minneapolis Minnesota The trainer constantly talked about how old he was. Constantly berated him. Would smoke constantly. I won't stop until I speak with the CEO He has been an owner operated for over 30 years. He was so proud of his new position at Schneider; however it became very clear that this one person just cared about themselves. That's it for now.
Tell your husband to go somewhere else this company treat their employees like shit we are only a number here it's better company's out there I have been here 11 years and got sick gone fore three months was realeased from doc to go back been home five weeks now and still they not taking me back they really suck to take care of their employees even my supervisor told me bullshit and he sad welcome to corporate America
I am also trying to contact the CEO and the safety Manager is a joke. He does not know shit about safety and we all are a number to him. I have so much to show the CEO that he doesn't do his job. The drivers that have been with Schneider for a long time he shit on us and let's the new or 1 to 2 year drivers get away with safety problems. The DBL's act the same way. I have talk to a lawyer and I have a great case .. That is why we have so mean crashers. HE IS A JOKE
I am with you on this one. He thinks he knows but he thinks he can over power the drivers. Good luck with that one.
Doo is right. Schneider treats their drivers like an inconvenience and a disposable resource. I've worked on their P&G account for almost two and a half years. I ended up getting sick and needing two weeks off. I've been released with no restrictions by my primary care physician and a specialist and supplied them with the paperwork per their request. I then ended up going to their guy and cleared me.. they then wanted me to do another DOT physical and sent me to their person again and she cleared me also.. I just got another call from this 1st Lab/FS Solutions and it turns out I'm not done jumping through hoops. Schneider's P&G account at Lima was already 70+driver short when I got sick. And in the 2.5 months that I've been jumping through hoops they just lost another 6 drivers that I know of on nights. There is a reason why a company has to offer at $7,500-$10,000 sign on bonus to new drivers and that should be a red flag to anyone. There's a reason why you can't find any drivers in the Lima area anymore Schneider and that $10,000 sign on bonus isn't helping you out much either. Even all your Flex drivers that you brought in isn't a big enough Band-Aid to fix your problems. It used to be a nice account before you destroyed it.
